Barleycorn Inn - Mid Devon is believed to date back to
the middle of the 19th century, when a turnpike road was
built towards the pretty town of Bampton between 1826
and 1830. It is believed that Barleycorn Inn was built
between 1830 and 1840
This
former coaching inn offers comfortable
bed and breakfast accommodation with two double
bedrooms, a large family suite with two bedrooms, and
one accessible room on the ground floor, suitable for
the older or disabled guest.

Barelycorn House is a
family-run bed and breakfast located in Shillingford,
near Tiverton on the Devon and Somerset border.
Shillingford is in the beautiful
Exe Valley, just to the south of Exmoor and the north
coast of Devon and Somerset.
Activities including walking, horse riding and angling,
as well as visiting the picturesque villages and towns
in the surrounding countryside. There is an inn close by
in the pretty town of Bampton.

in the quiet Devon countryside is an excellent way of
recharging the batteries and enjoying time with loved
ones.
Barleycorn House B&B is situated in the beautiful Eve
Valley near the picturesque villages of Bampton and
Dulverton. The Exmoor area is ideal for a weekend break
walking, cycling or angling or for a short break during
the week.
The area
offers a number of country pubs for food and drink, and
the sandy beaches of Woolacombe and the coast of North
Devon are within driving distance across the
eye-catching countryside of Exmoor National Park. Exmoor
offers walks and cycle routes suitable for all ages and
the area also features several angling lakes, children’s
attractions and golf courses.

The owners of Barleycorn
House are dog lovers and avid walkers, so dogs are
welcome and they can advise on local walks. Families are
welcome too: the property features a family suite with a
double bed and a connecting room with two single beds,
as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath
facilities. There is also a guest dining room & guest
lounge with a TV, DVD player and stereo. The garden has
a patio area were guests are welcome to sit
