The Flappers

The Barge Inn have completed their fourth Gaol Break

 

The team (from left to right Charmaine Parker, Sue Hutter, Lin Trump, Dee Williams, Lucy Wilson, Helen Jepps,)disguised as the Charleston Girls, in costumes made by Mary Mares, this year (2007) raised £2,500  

They have raised over £9,500 for charity and won the following competition category awards.

  • Most Money Raised

The teams entering the “Dartmoor Charity Gaol Break” raise money for The Vranch House, a Charity for children with Cerebral Palsy and a Charity of their choice.  Their second charity this year is the Millwater School for Children with special needs.

Next year in 2008, will be the 25th anniversary of the “Dartmoor Charity Gaol Break”, and they are already organising next year’s disguise, determined to beat the amount raised this year.

The Flappers in   the Barge Inn, Halberton,  Tiverton - in their Charleston Regalia raising £2500 for  The Vranch House and their chosen charity which deals with autism
