Mid Devon 3-Week Bin Collection Schedule & Rules
Mid Devon District Council operates a split kerbside collection cycle across Tiverton, Crediton, Cullompton, Bampton, and rural parishes:
🗑️ Black Refuse Bin (3-Weekly)
- Frequency: Every 3 weeks on your collection day. Bins out by 6:00 AM.
- What Goes In: General non-recyclable waste, nappies, pet waste, vacuum dust, soft plastics, thin films, and non-recyclable packaging.
- Rule: Lids must be fully closed. Side waste (extra bags) will NOT be collected.

Missed Bin Collections & Assisted Service

You must report a missed bin to Mid Devon District Council within 24 hours (or 1 working day) of your scheduled collection day. If reported promptly, collection crews will attempt to return within 2 working days.

Assisted Collections for Elderly & Disabled Residents: If you are unable to move your heavy bins or recycling containers to the kerbside due to mobility or medical issues, you can apply for an Assisted Collection. Collection crews will collect and return your containers directly from your property storage area.
